Anyone calling themselves a psychologist in New Zealand must be registered with the New Zealand Psychologists Board. The NZPB website has a tool to check if someone is registered, advice on what to do if you have a complaint and more.
The MHF has loads of helpful information including, evidenced based tips to better wellbeing, a tool to help you find emergency services' contact numbers in your area, an overview of different mental health conditions & others' stories of living with mental illness and using services.
