Supervision

Honouring clinicians as professionals & people
Taking care of those who take care of others is critical to the survival and continued improvement of our health system. Given that research about the wellbeing of health care professionals indicates burnout is associated with emotional exhaustion, workplace and workload factors as well as personal characteristics I believe it's important to take a holistic approach to supervision, providing a space for clinicians to reflect on their practice, careers and professional development as well as their emotional wellbeing. This includes thinking about how work affects home life and vice versa.
I have completed clinical supervision training with Dr Fiona Howard (Auckland University).
